Bally’s Casino Atlantic City opened on December 29, 1979. It was a part of Caesars Entertainment until 2020. It was then acquired by Twin River Worldwide Holdings. The name of the parent company was later changed to Bally’s Corporation. A Colorado casino owned by the same company was later changed to Bally’s, too. The company does not own any other Atlantic City casinos.

There are about 1,200 hotel rooms and ten restaurants at Bally’s Atlantic City. It has over 1,300 slots and video poker machines, over 80 live table games, and a Bally Bet Sportsbook. The property has recently undergone renovations.

Bally’s Atlantic City Casino

The casino floor is accessible from the Boardwalk, hotel, and neighboring Wild Wild West. The table game pit is the first part of the casino guests see when entering from the Boardwalk. There are several pits on the Bally’s casino floor, as well as a large high limit salon.

Bally’s Atlantic City blackjack tables

There is $25 eight-deck 3:2 blackjack at Bally’s Atlantic City. It permits double down before and after splitting, re-splitting of aces three times, and surrender. This game hits soft 17. For $100 or more, depending on the time and day, this game deals six decks in the high limit salon and stands on all 17’s. Pontoon 21 starts at $10.

Since our last visit, the blackjack rules have been updated at Bally’s Atlantic City. Mid-shoe entry is no longer permitted. However, surrender is now allowed in all games. Aces may now be re-split three times, for a total of four hands. Previously, aces were only permitted to be split once, then twice.

More table games

Bally’s Atlantic City offers $15 or $25 craps. It has 10 times odds. Small, Tall, and Make’em All side bets are available.

Double zero roulette is $15. Single zero roulette is offered for $100 in the high limit salon. Face Up and Fortune Pai Gow Poker are $25. Pai Gow Tiles are also available for $25. Baccarat is available for $100 in the Asian gaming room.

Poker pit games include High Card Flush, Let It Ride, Mississippi Stud, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em for $5. Four Card Poker and Three Card Poker have a $10 minimum.

There are a couple of video table game titles near the pit. Some are heads up double zero roulette. The other is big wheel. Both have a $1 minimum bet. Video craps and roulette are now available. Craps has a $1 minimum. Roulette has a minimum of $0.50.

Bally’s Atlantic City video poker

Bally’s offers a massive video poker selection. Our top pick is on a bank of machines along the east wall of the property. If you enter from the Boardwalk, go to your left. The machines are past the emergency exit in the video poker section along the back wall. These Bally’s Atlantic City video poker machines offer quarter, half-dollar, and dollar 9/6 Jacks or Better, 9/7/5 Double Bonus and Double Aces and Faces, 18/7/5 Joker Poker, and 9/6 Double Double Bonus and Double Double Double Aces and Faces. 

These machines have a sticker that discloses that points are earned at a rate of one per $50 in coin-in. That is how you will know that you are in the right place.

The other single line video poker is a step or two below the good games mentioned above. The denominations are quarter, half-dollar, and dollar on the floor. There are a handful of nickel machines with these lower payouts. These all pay full points. We found a three-way progressive on quarter 8/5 Double Double Bonus and a royal flush progressive on a few banks with similar pay tables. 

Video poker variants dealt in multi-hand formats are typically available in nickel, dime, and quarter at Bally’s Atlantic City. Games include Ultimate X, 3/5/10 play, Double Down Stud, Super Times Pay, Spin Poker, Triple Spin Poker, Extra Draw, Deal Draw, and Quick Quads. 

Bally Bet Sportsbook

There is a Bally Bet Sportsbook inside Bally’s Atlantic City. It is by the northern Boardwalk entrance. It has a 25-foot video wall with a lounge and betting counter. There are three betting windows and eight self-service kiosks.

The Bally Bet Sportsbook is open from 11am until 11pm Friday through Sunday. It is open from noon until 10pm Monday through Thursday.

Bally Rewards players club

Bally Rewards is the players club for Bally’s Atlantic City. There are four tiers. Players start at Pro. At 4,000 points in a year, Star is achieved. It takes 15,000 annual points to make the Superstar tier. The Legend tier is by invitation only.

Slot and table game players are rated based on the size of the bet, type of game, and length of play. Players may convert 100 points, known as Bally Bucks, into $1 in food or retail comps. It takes 200 Bally Bucks to receive $1 in free slot play. Players may receive free parking by earning 10 Bally Bucks during one gaming day. Free self-parking is available for players at the Star tier and above.

Dining and drinks at Bally’s Atlantic City

Bally’s Atlantic City has ten dining options and an outside bar. Beach Bar is closed until the 2024 summer season. The new Carousel Bar is located with views of the casino and hotel lobby. Open 24/7, it features a 24-seat rotating bar.

Carluccio’s Pizza is a family-owned pizzeria. Menu items include New York and Sicilian pizza, wings, calzones, and salads.

Dunkin’ Donuts is open 24 hours daily. Menu items include donuts, sandwiches, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Sack O’ Subs is a sandwich shop. The deli serves Italian meats and cold cuts on locally made sub rolls. Located near the Boardwalk entrance, Johnny Rockets is a hamburger shop serving up burgers, fries, and shakes with a 50s theme. 

Guy Fieri’s Chophouse is a fine-dining steakhouse. Menu items include sushi rolls and a raw bar, seafood, pasta, and steaks. Happy hour is available in the bar and lounge from 5pm until 6:30pm.

On the sixth floor, Jerry Longo’s Meatballs & Martinis specializes in Italian cuisine. The restaurant features two blackjack tables. Menu items include chicken, salmon, crab, veal pork and eggplant entrees, pasta dishes, and a New York strip steak.

Macau Kitchen serves Asian cuisine. Dishes include soups, noodle and rice bowls, and small plates. On the six floor, breakfast and lunch are served at Casino Cafe and Grille.

One of the newest restaurants at Bally’s is The Yard. The menu includes appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, pizza, and a few entrée dishes. The drink menu features local craft beers and cocktails. The indoor-outdoor space has arcade games, lounge seating, and a stage for entertainment. Minors are permitted until 9pm.

Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel

The hotel at Bally’s Atlantic City has three hotel towers. Rooms are subject to a $26 resort fee per room per night. The resort fee includes WiFi for two devices per room. Available only to hotel guests, Bally’s pool and fitness center are open daily. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to access the pool or fitness center. The pool bar is open daily from 10am until 6pm.

Bally’s Tower

Bally’s Tower in Atlantic City has 750 recently renovated rooms, 112 corner junior suites, and 16 new penthouse suites. All rooms include a tub shower, hair dryer, iron/ironing board, alarm clock, safe, refrigerator, sitting area, workspace, and a flat-screen TV. Renovated rooms are nonsmoking. Smoking is permitted in the Traditional Ocean rooms. Bally’s Tower offers three tiers of 300-350 square foot rooms and five suite options. 

Classic rooms feature either a single king or two double beds. Deluxe rooms have additional square footage than the classic rooms and are available with a single king bed only. Ocean rooms are available with two double beds or one king and have an ocean view. 

Dennis Tower

The Dennis Tower offers three tiers of 300-350 square foot rooms and three suite options. All rooms include a tub shower, hair dryer, iron/ironing board, alarm clock, safe, refrigerator, and a flat-screen TV.

Classic rooms featuring two double beds or one king bed. The Deluxe room features a King bed. Rooms with an ocean view are available with a single king or two double beds. Rooms are nonsmoking. Accessible rooms with additional bathroom grab bars are available as Classic King and Classic Double rooms.

For guests looking for additional space and seating, three suite trims are available in the Dennis Tower. Studio suites are available with a single king bed or two double beds. The middle suite features a king bed.

Garden Tower

All rooms in the Garden Tower include a tub shower, hair dryer, iron/ironing board, alarm clock, safe, refrigerator, sitting area, and a flat-screen TV. Classic rooms feature two double beds or a single king bed. Accessible rooms with additional bathroom grab bars are available as Classic Double rooms.

A studio suite is available in the Garden Tower. The suite features a king bed, additional space, and seating. An accessible suite is available.
