The Golden Nugget in Atlantic City is in the Marina District. It sits across Brigantine Blvd from Harrah’s. There is a pedestrian walkway between the two casinos. The property was once Trump Marina. 

There are more than 700 hotel rooms at Golden Nugget Atlantic City. There are eight restaurants. It offers about 1500 slot and video poker machines, as well as over 60 table games, a poker room, a sportsbook, and a New Jersey online casino.

Golden Nugget Atlantic City Casino

The casino is on the small side for Atlantic City resorts. Players enter the casino into the table game pit. A baccarat pit is located on the left. The cashier cage and high limit table games are further down on the left. The rest of the casino floor is slots. There are bars and lounges in the center. 

Golden Nugget Atlantic City Casino table games

There are 15 different table games dealt at Golden Nugget Atlantic City. There are about 30 blackjack tables. All pay 3:2. Blackjack starts at $15. That gets either Spanish 21 that stands on all 17’s and a traditional eight-deck that hits soft 17. The standard blackjack game permits re-splitting aces one time. For $25, that game stands on all 17’s. The $50 high limit game has these rules with six decks and surrender. 

Craps starts at $15. It has five or ten times odds, depending on the table. The ten times odds may be requested for high limit games.

We also found double zero roulette and Fortune Pai Gow Poker to be $15. Pai gow tiles is $25. Poker table games like Criss Cross, High Card Flush, Let it Ride, Mississippi Stud, Three Card Poker, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em were $10 during our visit. 

There are two places to play baccarat at Golden Nugget Atlantic City. There is a pit near the front of the casino with the game. It is also in the high limit salon. The limits we saw were $100 to $10,000.

Video poker

Our favorite video poker game at Golden Nugget is $1, $2, and $5 9/6 Double Double Bonus. It is at the bar. These machines also have 8/6 Jacks or Better. 

Golden Nugget is the only Atlantic City casino with Gamemaker machines. These are available in quarter and dollar denominations. These machines have Pick a Pair, Let it Ride, and other poker and keno games. 

There are also traditional Game King machines from quarter up to $5. Our top pick on the floor for quarter and half-dollar denominations is 7/5 Bonus Poker. Video poker variants include multi-hand, Ultimate X, Ultimate X Bonus Streak, and Hot Roll. Denominations start at nickel. 

Golden Nugget sportsbook

At Golden Nugget, the sportsbook has 50 TVs and 5 video walls. It is located off the atrium.

The Golden Nugget sportsbook opens at 3pm Tuesday through Friday and 11am Saturday through Monday. It closes at 11pm. Also, kiosks are available 24 hours a day.

24k Select Club players card

The 24k Select Club is the players card used at all Golden Nugget casinos. There are four tiers. Players start at 24 Karat. At 4,000 tier points in a period, players reach. Premier. Chairman starts at 10,000 tier credits. Elite is the top tier. Players must earn at least 50,000 tier credits for this level. Comp dollar and tier points are based on the theoretical house edge of the game played.

Dining and drinks at Golden Nugget Atlantic City

Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse is a fine-dining steakhouse. The menu features steak, seafood, and chicken entrees and an extensive wine list. Happy hour specials are available in the lounge from 4pm until 7pm.

Chart House is upscale dining with a marina view. The menu features fresh fish and steaks with lava cake highlighting the dessert menu. The lounge has happy hour specials from 4pm until 6pm Wednesday through Sunday.

Lillie’s Asian Cuisine fuses Chinese and Japanese flavors. The menu features soups, stir-fry, noodle dishes, sushi, and sashimi. Happy hour specials are available on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4pm until 7pm and all night on Fridays.

Michael Patrick’s Brasserie is a European-style brasserie. The menu features sandwiches, burgers, and specialty plates like shrimp scampi and filet mignon. Breakfast options are also available. 

Mexican cuisine is served at Dos Caminos. Happy hour specials are served in the bar from 3pm until 6pm.

Quick bites are available at Bean & Bread. The deli counter serves coffee, bagels, paninis, fruit, and sweet treats. Bill’s Bar & Burger specializes in burgers, shakes, and fries.

Seasonal dining

Open seasonally, H20 Bar + Grille is located on the 6th floor. Salads, sandwiches, bar fare, and cocktails are served poolside. On weekends, there is DJ entertainment. Guests must be 16 or older after 2pm. The Deck Bayfront Bar & Restaurant overlooks the marina. Menu items include wraps, pizza, appetizers, salads, and cocktails. Both restaurants are closed for the season.

Bar 46 is open 24 hours daily. The bar has a large liquor selection with unique specialty cocktails on the menu. Side Bar is closed for the season. Rush Lounge opens daily at 4pm on weekdays and noon on weekends. Drink service continues until midnight Sunday through Thursday and 2am Friday and Saturday. Live entertainment begins between 5pm and 8pm Monday through Saturday. The bar is located steps from the casino floor with video poker, roulette, and blackjack games available. The Wave Bar is open on Fridays from 7pm until midnight.

The hotel at Golden Nugget Atlantic City has more than 700 guest rooms and suites. Rooms are subject to a $32 resort fee per room per night. Property amenities include meeting rooms for 10 to 2100 people, the Retail Corridor, the H2O Pool, and the Spa & Salon. Golden Nugget manages the neighboring Senator Frank S. Farley State Marina. Exclusive marina and resort amenities are offered when renting a boat slip.

Golden Nugget hotel guests gain free access to H20 Pool. The 6th-floor pool deck has Cabanas, daybeds, hot tubs, and fire pits. Non-hotel guests can purchase a pool day pass for $25 per person. After 2pm, guests must be 16 years or older. The pool is closed for the season. The Fitness Center has free weights, treadmills, elliptical cross trainers, an upright cycle, and a recumbent cycle. It is available to hotel guests 24 hours. Non-hotel guests can access the fitness center for an additional fee Thursday through Monday from 10am until 6pm.

All rooms at Golden Nugget Atlantic City are nonsmoking and include a refrigerator, coffee maker, alarm clock, TV, safe, iron/ironing board, hair dryer, makeup mirror, and internet access. Luxury rooms are available with a king bed, two double beds, or an accessible room with a single queen. King rooms feature a seating area and workspace. Rooms with two double beds feature a table with seating for two and a workspace. Accessible rooms feature a low-profile queen bed, modified bathroom features, and a table with seating for two. A Bay View upgrade is available for an extra charge.

Suites

Golden Nugget Atlantic City offers three suite options. The 515-square-foot Junior Suite with views of the bay and city features a king bed, a larger workspace, and a seating area. The Marina Suite offers views of the marina and city and features a king bed, a larger seating area, a dining area for four, a wet bar, and one and a half bathrooms.
